January 26 - Teamlifting has coordinated the replacement of a 49.9-tonne rotor at the Qurayyah power plant in Saudi Arabia.
A 3 m high structure was built around the rotor, with sliding beams arranged on top of the structure. The beams and customised trolleys were then used to pull the rotor out from its location.
After removal, the rotor was transported over 80 km by road on a hydraulic low loader trailer to the ISCOSA (Industrial Services Company Saudi Arabia) workshop for repairs.
Once the repairs had been completed, Teamlifting transported the rotor back to the Qurayyah plant and used the same jacking and skidding system to install the repaired unit at the site.
Teamlifting is a member of the Cargo Equipment Experts (CEE) network in Saudi Arabia.
