February 27 - Sönke Jordt has added a 5-axle, 250-tonne capacity Liebherr LTM 1250-5.1 mobile crane to its fleet.
Sönke Jordt, which provides machinery and heavy haulage services as well as mobile crane rental, ordered the LTM 1250-5.1 with a hydraulically adjustable 50 m lattice jib. Jordt said: "This will enable us to tackle new types of work. We are also planning to use the new crane for repairs to wind turbines."
Tim Jordt added: "Sites are becoming smaller and smaller. We are now using lots of cranes which have Liebherr's variable support base. We also ordered the LTM 1250-5.1 with VarioBase. It delivers greater flexibility and safety for the crane driver and greater capacity for hoists directly above the outriggers."
Based in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany, Sönke Jordt's fleet comprises eleven mobile cranes with lifting capacities ranging from 30 to 250 tonnes. Another LTF 1045-4.1 and LTC 1050-3.1 have already been ordered and are due to be delivered shortly, claims Liebherr.
