October 6 - Dutch Offshore Contractors (DOC), a specialist in heavy transport and project logistics services, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Swan Hunter - a provider of installation equipment and engineering and procurement services.
DOC, which operates a sea terminal at Vlissingen, the Netherlands, said the agreement will enable both companies to provide a range of services for the offshore renewables and oil and gas sectors, including onward delivery to installation vessels, long-term storage, and project mobilisation/demobilisation at the quayside.
Gerard Kroese, director at Swan Hunter, said: "DOC has a well-established heavy transport track record, as well as vast experience in logistics project management. This, combined with the 'direct to sea' terminal in Vlissingen, will match with our on and offshore cable installation and handling equipment. We can complement and strengthen each other's capabilities."
