June 3 - Korean logistics company, Hanjin Transportation Co Ltd has utilised the Hanjin Pioneer, a self-propelled barge, to transport significant ship assemblies from China to India.
Hanjin Transportation, a member of the Cargo Equipment Experts (CEE) network, used the barge, designed for the handling of super heavy cargo such as evaporators for desalination plants, mega ship blocks and RMQCs (Rail Mounted Quayside Cranes), to move two mega ship blocks on its maiden voyage.
As well as acquiring the barge, Hanjin Transportation has also acquired 60-axles of SPMT capacity, bringing to 128-axles its capacity for land-based transport.
