February 3 - Global Boat Shipping (GBS) attended the yacht and water sports trade fair, Boot Dusseldorf, from January 18 - 16 for the 11th time and claims that it was a much better show than previous years.
With 248,600 visitors, the number was up significantly from 2013 and according to the organisers of the show, there is a "good deal of optimism" in the yacht industry.
"We had a lot of interested visitors at our stand and generated a lot of inquiries," said Christian van Hoorn, managing director of GBS.
GBS has recently opened offices in Fort Lauderdale and Vancouver - reported by HLPFI on January 24, 2014 - and will offer regular sailings to and from the US and Canada - an expansion which was well received in Dusseldorf, claims GBS.
