November 3 - The Singapore-based Bok Seng Group and Auckland-based PB Sea-Tow have created a strategic alliance to offer one-stop project and heavy lift cargo transportation solutions in South East Asia.
PB Sea-Tow is a subsidiary of Hong Kong-based PB Towage - itself a subsidiary of Pacific Basin Shipping. It provides project / module transportation and offshore services along with associated tug / barge operations in Australasia and South East Asia.
The Bok Seng Group offers integrated logistics management and project logistics operations under Bok Seng Logistics, as well as sales and rental of products such as boom, lift and access systems, as well as truck mounted cranes.
Peter Dunlop, commercial director, PB Sea-Tow says that in their new alliance, the two companies will offer craneage (up to 500 tonnes); low loader and SPMT transport; ocean towage; naval architecture; transport engineering; coastal and ocean barge transportation; lashing / grillage design and installation; lay-down / storage capacity at Singapore Marine Terminal; shallow water / beach landing operations; project management; cargo superintendency; ship to shore transfers; offshore support; as well as pipe transport by ship or barge.
