The two longest pieces each measured 19.6m in length and weighed 107.5 and 108.1 tonnes respectively.
The ship's steel block was moved from Jiangyin port, China to a shipbuilding plant in Kaohsiung, Taiwan in a journey that took four days to travel the 170 nautical miles between the two cities across the Taiwan Strait.
