November 3 - Ferry operator Stena Line and shipping, logistics and forwarding company Mann Lines will cooperate on logistics services through a joint route network in the North Sea and Baltics.

Mann Lines currently offers a liner ro-ro service between the ports of Harwich, Cuxhaven, Tallinn, Turku and Bremerhaven, as well as a container service between Rotterdam and the Baltics.

Anders Peterson, business development manager at Stena Line, commented on the benefits of the cooperation agreement: "Mann Lines is a strong player within logistics and in business areas where we are not as strong, such as automotive, project loads, and the high and heavy sector. Stena Line complements in other areas."

The agreement will initially comprise three key parts. Firstly, a fixed space charter to Stena Line on Mann Lines' ship; secondly, Mann Lines will act as sales agent when it comes to Stena Line's route network; thirdly, Stena RoRo will charter the ro-ro vessel Stena Foreteller to Mann Lines.

Stena Foreteller will enter her new service for Mann Lines in January 2015.
