February 25 - Steder Group has coordinated the transport of new propulsion system equipment from the European ports of Antwerp and Southampton to Charleston in the USA.
Steder received two 132-tonne propulsion motors, measuring 6.17 m x 4.7 m x 5.31 m each, at the Port of Antwerp, which were transhipped from a barge onto a containership for delivery to the USA.
Meanwhile, four 40-tonne generators, each with the dimensions 4.8 m x 4 m x 3.3 m, and two 40 ft flatrack containers were shipped from the UK Port of Southampton. Two more 40 ft flatracks, containing propulsion equipment weighing 23.8 tonnes, were loaded on a vessel in Bremerhaven for shipment to the Port of Charleston.
Steder Group is a member of the Worldwide Project Consortium (WWPC) in the Netherlands.
