September 20 - Houston-based railroad project cargo and heavy lift handler has re-vamped its website to engineer a better visitor experience and offer a live news feed from HLPFI.

The site - www.srt.cc - has been redesigned for more frequent updating to make the site "more informative and user-friendly than ever before" says the company.

The company, which has locations in Texas, Florida and Oklahoma, was founded in 2004. It is a member of the Cooper Group of Companies. SRT owns, and operates, a 450 tonne capacity 20-axle rail car and three cabooses.

The 20-axle railcar lifts and shifts to manoeuvre around obstructions and has a capacity of 450 tonnes or 900,300 lbs / 408,369 kg. With a deck length of 40 feet / 12.19 m, this car is ideal to move heavy transformers, turbines, and generators. For shipments not requiring this equipment, SRT works with railcar owners on a regular basis to obtain standard and other specialised railcars.

The site includes a live news feed from HLPFI to make it even more user-friendly. This is a feature that the editorial director of Heavy Lift & Project Forwarding International magazine is happy to offer to other relevant heavy lift and project forwarder websites.

Editorial director Ian Matheson said: "I am so pleased that SRT has decided to supply a news feed from our site. This represents a great compliment to our news gathering skills and shows that the market truly appreciates the work my dedicated news hounds put into their beat.

"I invite other companies in the heavy lift and project cargo forwarding sectors to get in touch and we will work with them to supply a news feed to their sites."
