October 1 - A recent heavy lift move at Dubai's Jebel Ali port required managers to arrange a special berth to allow the 1,000 tonne consignment to be loaded in a timely and efficient manner.
Dubai-headquartered GAC was charged with the loading the consignment which included a 745 tonne reactor that took two hours to load.
Working in close co-operation with port authorities and the heavy lift ship's operator, SAL Shipping, GAC arranged a special berth to ensure that the reactor and additional 245 tonnes of parts, bound for Ain Sokha in Egypt, and twoRubber Tyred Gantry (RTG) cranes destined for the DP World Terminal at Tarragona in Spain, were loaded as quickly and efficiently as possible.
