May 11 - Silverburn Shipping Group is continuing to renew its fleet with the building of two unlimited navigation Ice class 1C Tow/Pusher/AHT tugs for oil field support and Russian Inland Waterways system (RIWS) towage, at TB Shipyards in the Netherlands.
According to Silverburn, the ships will have significant improvements in efficiency in various fields, making the crew more cost effective and saving fuel. The lower emissions will mean a lower impact on the environment and marine biodiversity.
The delivery of the first vessel is expected in autumn 2017, with the second vessel being delivered a few months later.
