July 20 - Finnish heavy transport company Silvasti has assisted with the delivery of a 136-tonne pressure vessel from Estonia to Finland.
The tank, which measured 31 m x 6 m x 6.3 m, was first shipped from Estonia to Finland's Port of Hanko, before being loaded onto a 15-axle modular trailer for the 400 km delivery by road to its final destination.
Silvasti explained that many traffic signs needed to be temporarily removed en route, as well as several overhead obstacles.
Due to the oversize unit's huge dimensions, three escort cars were required to accompany the transport combination, while the trailer was also forced to travel against the traffic on some parts of the route.
Silvasti is a member of the Cargo Equipment Experts (CEE) network in Finland.
