September 22 - Manchester, UK-based Speedrite has unloaded four silos, measuring 17 m x 5 m x 6 m and weighing 30 tonnes each, at Esprit's Trafford Park Docks.
The silos, which were manufactured in Germany, were loaded onboard Scotline's vessel Scot Ranger in Groot Ammers, the Netherlands and transported to Espirit's facilities via the Manchester Ship Canal.
Upon arrival at the Trafford Park Docks, Speedrite utilised two cranes to unload the oversized units.
J.B. Rawcliffe & Sons was responsible for the road transport of the silos from the dock to a factory in Manchester, utilising two extended semi-trailers.
As HLPFI reported here, the Manchester docks were reopened in February 2017 after being closed for over ten years.
