October 17 - Associated British Port's (ABP) Port of King's Lynn in Norfolk, UK has welcomed two cargo deliveries to support the construction of the Palm Paper combined-cycle gas turbine power station.
A 103-tonne gas turbine arrived at the port onboard Wallenius Wilhelmsen Logistics' (WWL) vessel Figaro.
Also located in King's Lynn, the Palm Paper's project site is in close proximity to the port, which ABP says minimised the distance travelled and transport costs for the shipment.
Shortly after the arrival of WWL's vessel, the port welcomed Boomsma Shipping's Frisian River carrying an electricity generator for Palm Paper's newspaper printing site.
When completed the 162 MW Palm Power power plant will provide electricity and steam to the paper mill.
