Denmark-based Scan Global Logistics (SGL) has expanded its operations by opening its first office in Türkiye, in Istanbul.
SGL has chosen to expand in Türkiye as it is strategically located at the crossroads of Europe, Asia and the Middle East and serves as a key hub for regional and international trade.
“Türkiye has been part of our expansion plans, and I am happy to say we have found a strong team to drive our growth journey,” said Allan Melgaard, global ceo at SGL, who added that the expansion “allows us to tap into a vital trade hub with a strong historical legacy.”
The company’s Istanbul office will provide logistics solutions for air, ocean, and road freight services and will be supported by in-house Customs clearance and a small cross-docking facility to enhance cargo handling efficiency.
SGL is planning to open offices in Bursa, İzmir and Mersin later this year.
