January 23 - The naming ceremony for the second of four NileDutch newbuild vessels - NileDutch Dordrecht - has taken place today at PSA Singapore Terminals.
Eva Jongschaap, wife of one of NileDutch's founders Jan Jongschaap, has been named as the ship's godmother.
NileDutch is expanding its fleet with four new Netherlands-flagged container vessels to operate on the company's West Africa - Far East rotation. Each vessel will have a 3,150 teu capacity, and measure 224 m long, with a beam of 34.8 m and draft of 12.5 m.
The remaining two vessels will be delivered later this year.
