January 23 - At the BIFA Freight Service Awards 2008, Seafast Logistics plc walked way with one of the freight industry's most prestigious and important awards
At the glittering awards ceremony held yesterday in London, Seafast scooped the Project Forwarding award, sponsored Ruslan International.
In presenting the award, the Right Hon Michael Portillo said: "Seafast Logistics overcame the many challenges involved in a particular project combining up-to-date modern equipment with local knowledge and staff. The end result was a smooth efficient service which placed a heavy emphasis on security of cargo for its customer, whilst ensuring the health and safety of its staff was never compromised."
Seafast Logistics has long-standing relationships with the government defence ministries, NGOs and charities to supply secure and robust freight services.
The company has invested in port-centric warehousing and distribution in Felixstowe Port, permitting the shipping of ISO containers which would be overweight for both UK road haulage and UK rail transport
