August 3 - Effective August 23, 2017, Seaboard Marine will begin offering two weekly sailings from PortMiami to Puerto Limon in Costa Rica, both having a three day transit, one leaving Miami every Wednesday, the other every Friday.
Jose Concepcion, Seaboard Marine's vice president of Central America, claimed: "Seaboard Marine will now have the fastest transit times in the region with the most frequent sailings."
In addition, Seaboard Marine's northbound service from Manzanillo, Panama to PortMiami has been reduced to a three-day transit.
Commencing August 11, 2017, the shipping line will add a new service between PortMiami and Guayaquil, Ecuador; as well as Callao and Paita, Peru. The new weekly service is supported by three dedicated vessels providing fast direct service through the Panama Canal to and from Ecuador and Peru.
Piero Buitano, Seaboard Marine's vice president of South America, said, "Our customers have been requesting faster transit times to and from Ecuador and Peru. This new weekly service does exactly that by providing more rapid southbound transit to Guayaquil, Callao, and Paita from Florida."
Each of the new and expanded services supports all equipment types and sizes and the shipping line reports that it has the experience and capabilities to handle all oversized construction and agriculture machinery, as well as power generation and heavy equipment.
Its specialised equipment fleet includes: lowboys, roll trailers and single and double drop deck flatbeds.
