May 16 - SDV International Logistics has successfully set up its Integrated Management Systems (IMS) in Timor-Leste, Southeast Asia, by obtaining three international certification standards.
SDV secured ISO 9001:2008 (quality), ISO 14001:2004 (environment), and OHSAS 18001:2007 (health/safety) with zero non-conformity from Bureau Veritas Certification, in turn becoming the first logistics support company to achieve certification in the country, says SDV.
The certification standards cover four of SDV's sites in the country: "Those certifications are crucial as we are the preferred supplier in the oil and gas industry in Timor-Leste. Through these certifications, we can demonstrate to our existing clients and to new companies exploring opportunities in Timor-Leste that it is possible to do business in a safe and controlled way in Timor-Leste," said Rafael Ribeiro, managing director at SDV Timor-Leste.
