December 18 - German crane and heavy transport contractor Schmidbauer has taken delivery of three new Liebherr mobile cranes: a 100-tonne capacity LTM 1100-5.2; a 130-tonne capacity LTM 1130-5.1; and a 60-tonne capacity LTM 1130-5.1.
All three cranes offer high load capacities with both full and part ballast; and the ballast, which can be carried within their 12-tonne axle load, enables the cranes to perform a host of jobs, said Liebherr.
Schmidbauer founder Werner Schmidbauer explained his decision to purchase the three-axle LTM 1060-3.1: "We were persuaded by the [model] due to its 48 m telescopic boom and high load capacities. What is more is that its compact dimensions means that it is ideal for use in the very constricted conditions to be found in the City of Munich."
