April 23 - During its recent 2015 Annual Conference, the Specialized Carriers & Rigging Association (SC&RA) elected Bruce Forster of Rigging Gear Sales as president.
Joining Forster as officers for the 2015-2016 term are: Alan Barnhart, Barnhart as chairman; John McTyre, McTyre Trucking as vice president; Delynn Burkhalter, Burkhalter as treasurer; Terry Young, Construction Safety Experts as assistant treasurer.
Also joining the Board are four newly elected group chairs, including Tony Fastuca, Python America, for the Allied Industries Group; Rob Weiss, Cranes Inc for the Crane & Rigging Group; Sean Claton, Midwest Specialized Transportation, for the Transportation Group; and Karen Wood, WHECO Corporation for the Ladies Group.
The newly-elected officers will serve one-year terms that will expire at the Association's next Annual Conference, to be held April 26-30, 2016 at the Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek, Orlando Fla.
Additionally, SC&RA elected the following six new Board members to serve three-year terms: These include: Larry Curran, JJ Curran Crane Company; Ted Redmond, NCSG Crane & Heavy Haul Services; Mike Vlaming, Vlaming & Associates; Mike Card, Combined Transport; Paul DeLong, Paul DeLong Heavy Haul; Toni Sabia, Transport Systems & Products.
