July 15 - ALE's Mega Jack 800 has been used for the first time in Norway to jack up a 1,000-tonne living quarters module.
ALE was contracted by Ivar Aasen to jack up the module 13 m, before connecting it to the lower living quarters sub-modules using 72 axle lines of self-propelled modular transporter (SPMT). The 1,600-tonne combined module will now be loaded out onto a barge for the final phase of the contract.
The UK heavy lifting company claims this was the highest jack-up operation performed by the Mega Jack 800 so far.
