June 29 - Belgium-based Sarens and Verbrugge Terminals from Flushing, The Netherlands have entered into a strategic partnership to work intensively together for all onshore logistics related to offshore wind farm developments.
Verbrugge Terminals is a leading logistics service provider with a major presence in the port of Vlissingen andTerneuzen while Sarens is a leader in heavy lifting and transport.
Verbrugge Terminals focuses on a selective number of product markets, including offshore wind project cargo, bulk products, paper and wood pulp as well as timber, steel and metals.
The two companies say that they will work together to provide solutions for load-in, storage, preassembly and load-out of foundations, monopiles, jackets, tripods, prepiles, transition pieces, gravity based foundations; as well as wind turbine generator parts, tower elements, nacelles, hubs and blades, plus key support services, such as a wide range of steel works.
The Sarens Group, with its head office in Wolvertem, is an international company specialised in crane rental and engineering projects involving lifting and moving loads with exceptional sizes and weights. The family-owned business is active in 51 countries and has a consolidated turnover of EUR420 million.
