December 8 - Inchcape Shipping Services (ISS) has issued guidance about new towage regulations affecting the port of San Lorenzo in Argentina.
Effective December 15, all vessels mooring at the terminals Axion, Chacabuco (YPF), Nidera, Tránsito, Pampa and Dempa will have to use tug boats for their departure. This will apply to manoeuvres and navigation upriver, as well turning downstream.
Vessels with overall lengths of up to 160 m are exempt; those with an overall length of between 160 m and 210 m will be required to use one tugboat; while vessels over 210 m long will be required to use two tugboats.
