September 4 - Thanks to some effective planning, SAL Heavy Lift's Grietje discharged a sphere tank that had been shipped from Sattahip, Thailand to Antwerp, Belgium, three days ahead of schedule.
Grietje, a type-161A ship with a combined lifting capacity of 700 tonnes, loaded the sphere tank weighing 340 tonnes and measuring 20 m x 22 m x 24 m, in Sattahip.
With a fleet of 16 heavy lift vessels, SAL Heavy Lift says it provides reliable transportation solutions for all types of project cargoes including equipment for the oil and gas industry, offshore wind energy, cranes, heavy machinery and floating cargo.
Typically, ships in its fleet have a high crane capacity of up to 2,000 tonnes SWL and a top speed of 20 knots.
