July 22 - Ruslan International has delivered an urgent shipment of ethanol production equipment from Canada to Brazil in time for a VIP opening ceremony.
The cargo, which included equipment for a new ethanol production facility operated by one of Brazil's leading producers, was originally intended to be transported by ship, but since it was needed in time for the opening ceremony the only solution was to fly it from Toronto to Viracopos onboard an AN-124, said Ruslan.
The cargo weighed a total of 79 tonnes, with the heaviest individual piece weighing 58 tonnes and measuring 13.15 m x 3.15 m x 3.81 m.
The project was performed in cooperation with Brazil-based charter broker Fly Easy.
