September 19 - BOW Terminal has discharged the base part of a test frame from a pontoon onto the terminal in a complex ro-ro operation.
Volker Staal and Funderingen will modify the frame, which weighed approximately 1,500 tonnes, for testing the capabilities of the decommissioning vessel Pieter Schelte.
The Allseas-owned vessel is 382 m long, 124 m wide and can lift structures weighing up to 48,000 tonnes.
After modification, the frame will have a height of 60 m and will be installed with four suction anchors into the sea.
