March 13 - Ritchie Bros. is to conduct a multi-million dollar crane and transportation auction for Casper, Wyoming based Energy Transportation.
Over 750 units of equipment will be sold in the one-owner unreserved public auction, including 14 rough terrain cranes, seven all terrain cranes, seven hydraulic truck cranes, six crawler cranes, and related rigging equipment, as well as heavy-duty trucks, trailers and other equipment.
HLPFI reported on February 5 that NCSG Crane & Heavy Haul Corporation subsidiary NC Energy Services was acquiring Energy Transportation, and that its owner, Dan McGlade, had vowed to independently sell off the cranes and trucking equipment owned by Energy Transportation.
The auction is being held at Energy Transportation's facility in Casper, which can be found at 6301 W Zero Road. Bids for the equipment can be made in person at the auction site, online at www.rbauction.com and by proxy. The auction is open to the public, it is free to register to bid and equipment is available for inspection ahead of the auction.
"This is the best selection of cranes we've ever sold," said Rob Giroux, vice president, sales at Ritchie Bros. "Cranes of this size and quality don't come to auction often, especially not in this quantity."
Some of the auction's equipment highlights include a 660-tonne capacity Liebherr LR1600/2 crawler crane, two 440-tonne capacity Manitowoc 16000 crawler cranes, two Kenworth trucks, and two Trail King nine-axle lowboy trailers.
