October 13 - A recent shipment of vital equipment for a Turkmenistani gas plant has set new records for freight shipments on the Black Sea and Volga River and out of a Turkish port, claims SNS International Transport.
The Turkish forwarder moved cargo destined for the Turkmenistan gas de-sulphurisation plant project by water across the Black Sea and along the Volga-Don.
The cargo traveled through the port of Haydarpaºa, also known as the Port of Haidar Pasha, Turkey's third larget port and set its own record as the largest-ever shipment out of the port says SNS.
Eight items in the consignment each weighed 566 tonnes and measured up to 40m. Another eight pieces weighed 135 tonnes and measured up to 37m in length.
