September 15 - Norfolk, UK based Quinto Crane & Plant has invested in a new Mercedes-Benz Arocs 3363 S prime mover, as well as a six-axle Nooteboom low-loader trailer.
Supplied by Norwich dealer Orwell Truck & Van, the Arocs will be used predominantly to transport 10-tonne slabs of steel that will serve as ballast to secure Quinto's new 300-tonne capacity Grove mobile crane during operations.
The Mercedes-Benz tractor unit will also be used to carry demolition equipment, and undertake other heavy-duty tasks, said the company.
The Arocs range is purpose-designed for construction-related operations, said Mercedes. Quinto's model features a turbo retarder clutch, as well as a 16-speed Mercedes PowerShift 3 automated transmission, and can handle around 3,000 Newton metres (Nm) of torque.
