July 18 - The Project Cargo Network (PCN) has filled its US membership quota with the signing of its fifth US member, says Martin Pain, PCN network manager.
Los Angeles-based Allison Shipping International, Inc. specialises in moving oversized and project cargo. Eric Betts, Allison Shipping operations manager, says: "Allison Shipping International is a family owned and operated NVOCC with over 30 years of industry experience. We specialise in ocean export in FCL and LCL, automobiles, oversized and project cargo."
A recent project from Los Angeles to Busan, Korea involved the movement of four mud pumps for use on a drilling rig at destination totalling 41 tonnes. The project also involved the movement of 10 standard containers and 30 flat rack containers (pictured below).
