The Project Cargo Network (PCN) recently held its eighth annual summit at the Real InterContinental hotel in San José, Costa Rica.
The event, which took place from November 18 - 20, was opened by PCN president and ceo Rachel Humphrey. Special guest James Celano from WiseTech Global then introduced the Cargo Wise One single platform software and explained the system’s benefits for the network's members.
PCN also welcomed Fernanda Bolaños from the Ministry of Foreign Trade (COMEX), the governmental institution responsible for defining and managing foreign trade policy and foreign investment in the country.
After a day of one-to-one business meetings, delegates were treated to a dinner at Tiquicia Restaurant, overlooking the Central Valley.
On the second day of the summit, HLPFI’s co-founder Ian Matheson provided attendees with a ten-year recap of the heavy lift and project forwarding sector.
In addition to raising over USD4,000 for local type 1 diabetes charity EDPD, PCN said the summit was the greenest meeting in its history. To help battle plastic pollution, the network provided delegates with free reusable aluminium bottles and reusable, recyclable non-woven conference bags.
