April 29 - Project Cargo Network (PCN) member for the UK Advantage Worldwide and Turkish PCN member MTS Logistics, have teamed-up to move a 19 tonne furnace from Liverpool, UK to Port Istanbul, Turkey.

The partially dismantled furnace was shipped in three parts - the largest of which measured 3.35 m x 3.35 m x 6.4 m. The shipment was moved on one flat rack and in one 20 ft (6.09 m) dv container.

In other news, V. Alexander CIS has been named an official PCN representative in Russia, located in St Petersburg.

V. Alexander already holds PCN membership in Germany and Mongolia.

"While the main focus of V. Alexander CIS is clearly on project cargo and heavy lift/over-dimensional transportation (including road surveys, and technical inspections and solutions), we also successfully handle any kind of container business, sea, road, rail and air transportation," commented Nikita Spesivtsev, project manager, V. Alexander CIS.

V. Alexander recently transported gas condensation equipment for a Russian customer, with the largest unit weighing 130 tonnes (pictured below).
