North Florida Warehouse FTZ, a division of JZ Expedited Companies, has opened the port of Jacksonville's (Jaxport) Foreign Trade Zone No. 64's first outdoor storage facility.
The 3.7 acre (1.5 ha) facility offers short and long-term outdoor storage options for a variety of goods including vehicles, high and heavy cargoes, tracked units, project and over-dimensional cargo, containers, and breakbulk, says Jaxport.
"There are no limitations with this facility," said Lisa Diaz, Jaxport manager, FTZ and logistics services. "It is equipped to handle all types of cargo providing importers a tremendous advantage when shipping through Jaxport."
North Florida Warehouse FTZ says the facility offers customers flexible storage terms, plus 24/7 access to their cargo utilising the latest security technology.
The facility is adjacent to the company's 32,000 sq ft (2,972.9 sq m) north Jacksonville warehouse, which also operates within Foreign Trade Zone No. 64.
