November 8 - Orient Overseas Container Line (OOCL) has signed up to become the final category sponsor of the British International Freight Association's Freight Service Awards 2010.
The shipping line will sponsor the Project Forwarding category at the industry-leading annual awards ceremony, which is open to providers of project forwarding services or companies who have developed a special project in order to meet the requirements of the customer. This year, Allseas Global Logistics, Atlantic Pacific Global Logistics,F.H. Bertling and Global Logistics Management have been shortlisted for this category.
The shipping company joins the eight other category sponsors: British Airways World Cargo (Air Freight), Maersk Line (Environment), TT Club (European Logistics), CargoWise (Ocean Freight), Forward Computers (Special Services), Albacore Systems (Staff Development), BoxTop Technologies (Supply Chain Management) andJohnson Stevens Agencies (Young Freight Forwarder).
The award winners will be announced at the BIFA Annual Lunch and Awards Ceremony to be held at The Brewery, Chiswell Street, London EC1 on Thursday 20th January 2011.
