December 8 - OOCL has enhanced its Intra-Asia network with the introduction of the KTX7 service, providing more comprehensive network coverage of the markets between Japan and Vietnam.
OOCL currently offers six loops in the KTX range of services, connecting Japan to South East Asian markets. According to OOCL, the KTX7 service will extend its market reach by adding a call at Shimizu, located on the coast of Suruga Bay in Japan's.
Together with its Japan - China - Vietnam (JCV) service, OOCL says it will be able to offer competitive transit times on two direct services from Haiphong to Japan, as well as from Xiamen to Japan.
The KTX7 service will be launched in 2018, with the first sailing from Hong Kong scheduled for January 14.
