September 22 - In Vietnam, OIA Global has obtained the majority shareholding in its TriMAX joint venture and formed OIA Global Vietnam Co Ltd.
"This is an exciting time for OIA Global. We have operated in Vietnam for the past 10 years through our JV TriMAX. OIA Global gains the benefit of a majority owned company to enhance product development in our materials management, and packaging optimisation," said Charlie Hornecker, ceo of OIA Global.
"Converting this significant operation to an OIA Global entity in Vietnam realises our long-term vision to grow in geography, customer base and strengthen our ability to serve our customers' needs in one of the fastest growing and most important manufacturing markets in the world," said TH Lee, general director of OIA Global Vietnam."
OIA Global originally formed TriMAX Logistics JV Co Ltd. with operations in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi. HLPFI readers may recall that OIA Global purchased UK-based Bellville International in 2013.
