August 22 - Offshore Heavy Transport's (OHT) semi-submersible heavy lift vessel Falcon has loaded the jack-up rig Troll Solution in Rotterdam for shipment to Mexico.
Troll Solution weighs in at just under 9,500 tonnes and measures 73.15 m x 55.78 m.
Eirik Rieber-Mohn of OHT's chartering department said that Falcon is its busiest transporter of jack-up rigs, and it is the vessel of choice among many of the large drilling companies.
He explained that this was mainly due to the vessel's excellent stability and high speed.
