January 5 - Consigned to Transcoma, the vessel Ocean Lady called recently for the first time in Valencia to discharge material for the BMW Oracle team competing for the Americas Cup races in February.
The ship arrived from San Diego, California, chartered by Yacht Path, a Florida based yacht transportation company. It also also has offices in Palma de Mallorca and a representative in Valencia.
Ocean Lady discharged a trimaran, two small launches, two masts and sails and 24 containers with equipment, all of which will be stored in a marquee erected in the east Dock before its transfer to the team's HQ.
Coincidentally, Cassandra B is scheduled to discharge Americas Cup equipment for team Alinghi in Valencia today. Also consigned to Transcoma this vessel was also chartered by Yacht Patch and has come from Ras Al Jaima (UAE) and is calling at the North Turia pier.
