Norwest Ship Management has signed an agreement with Eckerö Shipping to buy the multipurpose sisterships Exporter and Shipper.
Exporter will start operating as part of Norwest’s fleet on a time charter in January 2023. In July 2023, the ownership will be transferred. Shipper will be transferred to Norwest at the beginning of 2024.
With the latest acquisition, Norwest has increased its fleet to 10 vessels, five of which have been added this year. This, according to the company, emphasises its focus on the shortsea multipurpose market.
