Nooteboom has received a European patent for a lift adapter developed for its Mega Windmill Transporter (MWT).

The adaptor, called Liftad, was specially designed to allow the MWT to transport large tower sections over 40 m in length without the need to use a loading floor.
The Liftad can be adjusted to handle tower sections with various diameters and has a maximum lifting capacity of 100 tons (90.72 tonnes), depending on the diameter of the tower section, said the Netherlands-based trailer manufacturer.
The patent will remain valid until the end of 2023.
