July 20 - Noble Shipping has handled the shipment of an LPG recovery plant from Hamriyah in the UAE to Pakistan's Karachi port.
The consignment, which had a total volume of 2,644 cu m, included a 63-tonne piece that had to be loaded onboard the vessel in Hamriyah using the ship's two 35-tonne capacity cranes.
"To ensure that the combined weight did not exceed the cranes' safe working load (SWL), special lifting beams were manufactured at a workshop in the UAE," explained Noble Shipping managing director Mohammad Inam.
Noble Shipping is a member of the Project Cargo Network (PCN).
