July 31 - Contrary to our report yesterday, Nippon Cargo Airlines (NCA) did take delivery of its first Boeing 747-8 Freighter on July 25.
NCA has advised that the departure of the aircraft from Seattle has been delayed and it will inform its stakeholders of the new timing for arrival in Tokyo as soon as this is determined.
NCA had previously announced that it would put the 747-8F into service in mid-August, mainly on routes to Asia and North America, adding that it intends to maximise the fuel efficiency and exceptional environmental performance of the aircraft in both scheduled and charter operation.
