June 11 - UTi Worldwide has established ocean charter service centres in Amsterdam, Johannesburg and Singapore, with a global hub in Houston, to coordinate responses to clients in the energy, mining and construction industries.
The locations of these service centres are important hubs for gas and oil exploration, drilling, mining and large projects construction, said UTi.
"UTi's energy, mining and projects (EMP) team members have specific skills sets to analyse and drive the execution of specialised services that include heavy and breakbulk transportation services, including cargo and project supervision," explained Bruce Hulings, the company's global vice president of EMP.
