September 18 - HHLA Logistics has consolidated its project and heavy lift logistics at an additional site next to the

At Hamburg's O'Swaldkai terminal, a 12,000 sq m shed has been equipped to meet the special requirements of project and heavy lift logistics.

Entrances up to six metres high and eight metres wide allow for very large modules to pass through, with additional outdoor spaces also available adjacent to the quayside facility. Heating is installed to protect cargoes from freezing temperatures.

Both ocean-going ships and inland waterway vessels can berth at the O'Swaldkai quay, being loaded or discharged by port mobile cranes with a lifting capacity of up to 104 tonnes, container gantry cranes, or via a ro-ro ramp.

"We are now even better positioned to pass on the outstanding advantages of Germany's largest port and our new site to our customers," claims Jürgen Frank, managing director of HHLA Logistics.
