December 1 - AARAS Shipping Agencies (Pvt) Ltd of Pakistan has delivered port agency services for a vessel, New Horizon, which arrived at Karachi Port, Pakistan, carrying break bulk, heavy and project cargoes from more than 28 consignees.
New Horizon had loaded in Shanghai, Dalian, and Xingang, China, prior to arrival in Karachi, where AARAScompleted the task of unloading the heavy and breakbulk cargoes from the vessel during a 48 hour period before the ship sailed for Singapore.
The vessel was carrying 2,386 packages sighing over 8,500 tonnes including trucks, heavy vehicles, heavy equipment, transformers, steel coils, pallets, wire rods and other materials.
In addition to handling the unloading of the various cargoes, AARAS also provided total logistics services to the consignees, which included heavy lift operations, Custom clearance, warehousing, as well as transportation to final destination.
