May 18 - National Airlines and Navitrans USA have launched a weekly scheduled round-the-world (RTW) freighter service utilising a Boeing 747-400F aircraft.
The service, which will launch June 1, 2017, will stop at Chicago O'Hare International Airport (Illinois, USA), Liège Airport (Belgium), Heydar Aliyev International Airport (Azerbaijan), Hong Kong International Airport, Narita International Airport (Japan), and Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport (Alaska, USA), before returning to Illinois.
Chuanning (Martin) Zhu, president of Navitrans USA, explained that the RTW route will connect five key gateways, throughout North America, Europe, Mid-Asia and the Far East in approximately 36 hours.
The operation will be in addition to a twice weekly scheduled service which National flies for Navitrans, connecting the USA and China.
