Nafith Egypt intends to modernise trucking operations at Egypt’s West Port Said.

The newly formed Nafith Egypt will introduce advanced automation at a state-of-the-art truck marshaling yard at the Egyptian port. The 25-year public-private partnership (PPP) was agreed with the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZONE).

Nafith said that it brings extensive experience to the venture, managing 12,000 truck trips daily from Jordan, Iraq, and Oman.

In March 2024, Egytrans appointed Maged Shawky as its chairman. 2023 saw the company acquire 99.9 percent of National Transport and Overseas Services Company (NOSCO) through a share swap deal, leading to the formation of Egytrans NOSCO.  It also partnered with Saudi-based investment firm Links Investment to establish a limited liability company in Saudi Arabia.
