January 23 - Modulift UK's managing director, Sarah Spivey, has been elected a member of the Lifting Equipment Engineers Association's (LEEA) board.
Spivey will join Paul Fulcher, Tim Burgess, Kevin Holmes and Anthony Thomas on the association's board for 2015.
Within the LEEA, Spivey will aim to discuss how best to move the heavy lifting industry forwards as it enters new territories, sectors and technologies, said Modulift.
"I see first-hand the fundamental safety challenges happening on a daily basis. In turn I recognise the need to uphold and advance safety standards for a risk-free environment, responding to authority associations such as LEEA," said Spivey.
"I think it's very important to have a lady's perspective on the board, providing an alternative viewpoint," she added. "However, equally I believe that I can offer fair and focussed judgement for all."
